पांथिक आधार पर मलेरकोटला जिला घोषणा संविधान की भावना एवं मूल्यों के विरुद्ध
अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद, पंजाब सरकार द्वारा पांथिक आधार पर नए जिले मलेरकोटला की घोषणा करने की भर्त्सना करती है और मानती है कि यह निर्णय संविधान की भावना एवं मूल्यों के विरुद्ध है। राज्य सरकार को बेहतर प्रशासन तंत्र और आम जनता को बेहतर सुविधाएँ पहुचाने हेतु नये जिले बनाने का अधिकार है परंतु सम्प्रदाय विशेष को खुश करने एवं राजनैतिक हितों को साधने के उद्देश्य से नवीन जिले की घोषणा करना यह संविधान के विरुद्ध एवं समाज को बांटने वाला कदम है।
शर्मनाक विषय है कि पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री ने पांथिक आधार पर नया जिला बनाते हुये कहा कि “ईद के दिन यह मुस्लिम समुदाय को भेंट है।” इससे स्पष्ट है कि यह निर्णय पांथिक आधार पर तुष्टिकरण की नीति और वोट बैंक की राजनीति से प्रेरित है।
अभाविप की पंजाब प्रांत मंत्री कु. कुदरतजोत कौर ने कहा कि, “पंजाब सरकार पंथ के आधार पर लोगों को विभाजित करने का काम कर रही है। प्रदेश में स्वास्थ एवं शिक्षा क्षेत्र में आमूलचूल परिवर्तन करने की आवश्यकता है पर पंजाब सरकार अपने राजनैतिक हित को साधने में लगी है।”
अभाविप की राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री सुश्री निधि त्रिपाठी ने कहा कि कांग्रेस तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति को हमेशा से बढ़ावा देती आयी है। साम्प्रदायिक आधार पर जिले की घोषणा करके कैप्टन अमरिंदर ने संविधान के साथ छलावा किया है। जिले की रचना कभी भी एक सम्प्रदाय बहुल शहरों को साथ जोड़ने से नहीं होती बल्कि सभी नागरिकों को मूलभूत सुविधाएँ आसानी से उपलब्ध हो एवं समस्याओं का त्वरित निवारण हो इस आधार पर की जाती रही है। कैप्टन सरकार का यह निर्णय सामाजिक सौहार्द की भावना को धूमिल करता है।

Declaration of Malerkotla District on Sectarian Basis Against Spirit and Values of Constitution: ABVP
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad condemns the announcement of the new 'Malerkota' district by the Punjab Government on sectarian basis, and believes that this decision is against the spirit and values of the Constitution. The State Government has the right to create new districts to provide better administration and better services to its people, but to announce a new district with the aim of appeasing a particular community and thus serving its political interests, is a step against the constitution which divides the society.
It is a matter of shame that the Chief Minister of Punjab, while creating the new district on the basis of a sect, said "It is a gift to the Muslim community on the day of Eid". With this statement, it is clear that this decision is inspired by the policy of appeasement and politics of vote-bank.
State Secretary of ABVP Punjab Ku. Qudrat Jot Kaur said, “The Punjab government is working to divide the people on the basis of creed. There is a need overhaul the health and education system in the state, but the Punjab Government is busy serving its political interests.”
ABVP National General Secretary, Sushree. Nidhi Tripathi said, “The Congress has always promoted the politics of appeasement. Captain Amarinder has defrauded the Constitution by declaring the district on communal grounds. No district is ever created by inter-connecting cities with dominance of a particular sect or community. Rather, it is created to make available the basic facilities to all the citizens and provide quick solutions to their problems. This decision of Captain Government tarnishes the spirit of social harmony.
