Tamil Nadu: We protested against a Beer fest in hotel Radission Blu in Egmore, Tamil Nadu and forced the cancellation of the Beer session as it promoted the use of alcohol. The hotel may have had the licence to sell liquor but this action of organizing beer- drinking competitions is a violation of our law. The police on seeing merit in our complaint ensured that the fiesta was not held. In order to promote a healthy society ABVP will continue its fight for a total prohibition on alcohol in the state.
