Haryana govt 'corrupt'

ABVP on Tuesday threatened to go on a mass agitation against the Haryana government over its 'bogus' educational policies, alleging serious corruption cases in the state's education department.

At a press conference in the city, ABVP Haryana also demanded that student council elections in educational institutions of the state be conducted. The student body said there were various problems in the state's universities, and students were being harassed because of the state government's policies. "The current government of Haryana has been fooling people for the past ten years. This is the most corrupt government in the history of the state," alleged ABVP's National Secretary Shriniwas.

He also mentioned the scams over recruitment of Haryana Civil Service (HSC) teachers and physical training instructors, with the latter having been cancelled by the high court. He also demanded the suspension of all vice-chancellors who do not qualify the norms of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
