VIJAYAWADA: The ABVP called for a statewide bandh of schools on June 24. ABVP National Executive Committee member P Suresh, in a press release here Sunday, stated that bandh call was given to draw attention to various problems plaguing the government, aided and private schools in the state.
He urged the government to ensure proper infrastructure at schools and recruit teaching staff in government schools. He also drew attention to the irregularities of corporate schools like huge fees and lack of government recognition, among others.
